Benny's latest haircut isn't very Doodle.
It’s been really hard to get my BennyBix Ochman Labradoodle groomed to look like a Doodle, and not a Poodle. It’s an expensive proposition to keep my non-allergic, non-shedding boy groomed. He has hair, not fur: hence no dander. But his wooly curls knot and dreadlock near the skin, and so at least every three months, he really needs a grooming.

I don’t want to say where we went in Manhattan, because they’ve also been known to give Benny great haircuts, but this wasn’t one of them. Here’s how he looks (Above) when I take him to Doodle Style, where they scissor cut his hair. Problem: Doodle Style is on Long Island, making Benny’s grooming a day trip instead of a hop across Central Park. Sigh.
The good news: it’s hair. it’ll grow back. Sigh.
